PRETTY

February 21-2014

The snows that hit 28 of Iran’s 31 provinces earlier this month has largely melted away from most of them.  But in Borujen in the mountains of Chahar Mahal va Bakhtiari province, some very skilled snow and ice sculptors showed off their talents.  At an altitude of 2,200 meters (7,200 feet), Borujen is one of the highest (and coldest) cities in the country.  It snows there an average of 122 days a year or one day in three.
