Tehran’s Persepolis soccer team won the pro league title this month after a season in which it lost only a solitary game. It was the third year in a row that Persepolis topped the league. But it only captured the championship on the last day of play because the Number Two team, Sepahan of Esfahan, only lost two games in the season. Persepolis’s season record was 16 wins, 13 ties and one loss. Sepahan’s was 15 wins, 13 ties and two losses.
