Oman flew three Americans held captive by the Houthi rebels in Yemen out to freedom last week. Oman helped free an Iranian held captive by a Sunni rebel band in Yemen a few months ago. And it was Yemen that arranged the freeing of the three American hikers held in Iran. Oman seems to have evolved into the only country in the Middle East that everyone feels can be trusted and has used its reputation to benefit many individuals caught in the tangled tendrils of Middle Eastern politics.
