Supreme Leader Ali Khamenehi has reappointed three of the clerics on the 12-man Council of Guardians to new six-year terms. They are Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, the secretary of the council, Hojatoleslam Mohammad-Reza Modarresi-Yazdi and Hojatoleslam Mehdi Shabzendedar.
