It isn’t going up. It’s about as erratic as the Libyan strongman, Muammar Qadhdhafi, which makes sense since most analyts think it is Libya that is driving the price of oil right now. But let’s look at the monthly average (below) which is more important than the daily Qadhdhafi-ish peregrinations. And the monthly average shows oil on a consistently upward slope for six straight months now.
