country’s foreign exchange market.  In March, Ahmadi-nejad became the first president ever summoned before the Majlis to answer questions.  The appearance, billed as a rebuke to the president, turned into a propaganda victory for him.  The questions were read out in advance and the president then had an hour to speak.  He made his usual blockbuster performance, even though he ignored most of the questions, and the Majlis had no way to keep him on the subject.  One might ask why 102 deputies now wish to summon him back.
