Iran Air has announced that the recent EU ban on its flying to Europe has severely hampered drug imports, worsening an already serious health crisis. It said two-thirds of a typical cargo flight from Germany were comprised of pharmaceuticals.
For some reason, it did not mention that lots of planes still fly between Tehran and Istanbul where they can meet flights from Europe. It also didn’t mention that the government says the US sanctions pharmaceuticals so Iran cannot import them.
