The vice chairman of the Judiciary has told the country’s lawyers they should not defend anyone accused of espionage. Mohammad Mossaddeq said, “If a lawyer agrees to defend a person accused of espionage, he should be reminded that, by doing so, he would be ignoring the rights of 80 million Iranians.”
