Iran and Pakistan have signed a revised version of their natural gas pipeline deal. This new version gives Pakistan until 2024 to complete the project, which it has not yet begun because of lack of funds and which it was supposed to have finished in 2015. The Express Tribune of Pakistan said the new agreement also provides no fine for failing to meet the new deadline. The previous agreement imposed a fine for each day Pakistan was late, but it has never been paid.
