Netanyahu at odds with his spies

January 03, 2017

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu (photo) told CBS news a few weeks ago that he has “five ideas” he will share with President Trump on how to force the reopening of the nuclear agreement with Iran.  But Al-Monitor reports that all the Israeli security agencies are unequivocally opposed to pushing for a reopening.  The agencies didn’t like the nuclear agreement and felt a better deal was possible.  But they feel a reopening now would only make matters worse.  Al-Monitor says Israeli intelligence concludes that revoking the agreement would only unite the Iranian public behind the regime and perhaps even push the regime into going forward with a nuclear weapons program.
