“Overruled” is set in a courtroom with references to both historical and contemporary Arab and Iranian uprisings against dictatorship and theocracy.
“Overruled” features actors, singers and musicians, including Mohsen Namjoo, one of Iran’s most prominent musicians, and actor Mohammad B. Ghaffari.
Neshat directs “Overruled,” which was written by Shoja Azari.
