The NSFC includes 58 members from major newspapers and magazines all across the country.
Its awards to “Nader and Simin” are the latest in a growing list of such recognitions. The awards leave little doubt that the film will win an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film. Those nominations are to be announced later this month.
The US distributors are hoping “Nader and Simin” will also win nominations for best screenplay and best director.
The actual Oscar winners will be announced late in February.
