Moving day

March 17, 2023

Iran International, the opposition broadcaster based in London, has announced it is transferring its studios to Washington, DC, after numerous threats from the regime to its personnel and premises.  The British government said the move was only temporary until the broadcaster can obtain a more secure and defensible site in the United Kingdom.  In Tehran, Pasdar Commander Maj. Gen. Hossein Salami said the broadcaster’s “expulsion” from Britain proved the “clout” of the Islamic Republic.  And the spokesman of the Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanani, said the move proved that the channel is run by the intelligence services of major states like Britain.
