Kiana and Ali Rahmani, the twin 17-year-old children of Nobel Peace Prize winner Narges Mohammadi, hold up the medal and certificate that were presented on her behalf in a formal ceremony in Oslo December 10. Mohammadi is the fifth person to win the coveted honor while imprisoned. In a letter smuggled out of prison, Mohammadi said the greatest burden she bears from her human rights campaigning is not seeing her children, who live in exile in Paris with their father. Mohammadi is no longer allowed even to have phone calls with the twins, though she was somehow able to speak by phone in November with Angelina Jolie, the actress and human rights campaigner.
