Rafsanjani, will be arrested as soon as he sets foot inside Iran, Prosecutor General Gholam-Hossain Mohseni-Ejai announced last week. Mehdi is accused of organizing protests after the elections last year. In response to questions, Mohseni-Ejai said Interpol might be asked to arrest Hashemi, but it has not yet been asked. However, Interpol doesn’t have arrest authority. All it does is notify other countries of people wanted in other member states.
