State broadcasting reports that Israel is considering tearing down al-Aqsa mosque and replacing it with a new Jewish temple. This is a proposal that has been aired for seven decades by rightwing groups in Israel, but no government of either the right or the left has ever paid it any attention. State broadcasting did not both to mention that, but left the impression that tearing down al-Aqsa was under serious review.
