Gen. Abbas Sadahi says the Iranian Navy can build its own aircraft carriers just like the United States because it is capable of building ships 200 meters long. But there is much more to building aircraft carriers than mere length. He also didn’t say why Iran would want any aircraft carriers if its military were only intended for defense, as it claims. The whole point of an aircraft carrier is to project air power around the globe.
