Another major figure in the Ahmadi-nejad administration has been charged with corruption. Kamran Daneshju (photo) was the governor general of Tehran province in Ahmadi-nejad’s first term and science minister in the second term. He is the third senior official of the Ahmadi-nejad Administration to face trial for corruption. In September 2009, Nature, the prominent British scientific journal, reported that “large chunks of text, figures, and tables in a 2009 paper co-authored by Daneshju were identical to those of a 2002 paper published by South Korean researchers.” Similar plagiarism was reportedly found in three other papers by Daneshju.
