French police raided a Paris building used by the Mojahedin-e Khalq and carted off boxes of evidence. But the police have not said what they were looking for or why they raided the office. Later, an unsourced news report said the group was using the building to eavesdrop on telephone calls in violation of French law. Three staffers were reported to have been arrested. Other news reports in Tehran said Maryam Rajavi, 70, leader of the group, was later barred from leaving France until the investigation is completed, though the Iran Times has seen no such reports in the French media. Other Iranian news reports say Rajavi was hospitalized, but a few days later the Mojahedin published a photo of her meeting with former French legislators.
