Former President Ali-Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani (photo) says President Rohani made too many promises in his campaign about policies over which he has no control. The UN, for example, has pointed out that Rohani’s campaign pledges about making life better by easing coercive policies have not been fulfilled. In an interview with the daily Aftab, Rafsanjani said, “Political issues and freedoms are not in his hands. Of course, he promised more than his executive powers allow. These thing are not in his hands.”
