Remember that story a few months ago about poisoned Iranian watermelons being sold in the UAE? The UAE health authorities quashed the rumor and said there was nothing wrong with the Iranian melons. But Iran is still miffed. The Financial Tribune quotes Agriculture Minister Abbas Keshavarz as saying Iran has stopped selling watermelons to the UAE and will ship them to Egypt instead. Keshavarz said the allegations against the watermelons were politically motivated.
