Melody Hossaini survived yet another week on the British television series “The Apprentice.”
The challenge was to develop a free magazine that would generate revenue through the advertisements they got. While the other team chose to target the over 60 population, Melody’s team, led by Natasha Scribbins, decided to do a men’s magazine, with Natasha saying, “Porn sells.”
Natasha also suggested that she and Melody could appear in the magazine, to which Melody immediately responded, “Let me stop you right there.”
Although initially resistant to the idea of a men’s magazine, Melody quickly got into it and eagerly asked men on the street, “How do you blow your load?” meaning “How do you spend your cash?”
In the end, she commented, “I never thought I’d be excited about a lads’ mag, until I was involved with creating one, and now I think it’s brilliant.” The media companies agreed and bought £60,000 ($100.000) worth of advertisements, making Melody’s team the winner and keeping her safe from elimination for another week.
In related news, Creditsafe, a credit check company that sells credit score information for millions of businesses in Europe, recently shared its reports on The Apprentice candidates. While Melody’s personal business was said to have a poor credit rating, it was not in the red like fellow contestant Tom Pellereau’s business and at least she has experience directing a company, unlike five of the other contestants.
The season has just passed its halfway point. Sixteen competitors started this season and Melody is now one of the eight left in the competition, five of them women.
