Melody less than stellar—but she survives this week

of Lord Alan Sugar’s British television version of “The Apprentice.”

The task for Hossaini’s team was to sell hair accessories and massages in a Birmingham shopping center. While her suggestion for where to attract the most customers was successful, the location was far from the treatment center.

Lord Sugar criticized Hossaini and two of her teammates for waiting too long to let the sales team know to send them more clients. Hossaini responded that she was the person who ultimately informed the project manager, Felicity Jackson, and went to personally escort clients from the sales area to the treatment center. “We could have gone through the whole day had I not done that,” she told Lord Sugar, for whose investment the contestants are competing.

In the end, Hossaini’s team suffered a loss greater than the opposing team’s profits and so the project manager, Jackson, was fired. Nevertheless, Jackson, the first female to be dismissed from the show this season, said that among the other contestants Hossaini was her favorite to work with and to win.

“From working with Melody as my project manager and also having her work for me, I think she’d be my pick. She worked well in both positions, she’s got guts, she’s strong and she’s very inspiring,” said Jackson.
