“Some women reporters do not dress appropriately for the atmosphere of the Majlis,” Deputy Fatemeh Rahbar told ILNA. Rahbar is a conservative female member of the chamber.
“It has been decided to prepare a clothing standard that takes into account the reporters’ tastes and by observing the Islamic dress code,” she said.
She did not say what objectionable clothing was being worn by female reporters covering the Majlis. Nor did she say who had decided to impose the dress code on the reporters.
