A total of 1,152,518 students registered to take this year’s konkur or college entrance exam, showing that high school grads are still eager to go to college, contrary to many reports saying the value of a college education is no longer rated high, given the high unemployment rate for college grads.
A total of 63 percent of the registrants were women. The oldest registrants were an 81-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman. The youngest was a 13-year-old girl.
