LEVELING BLAST

building.  The photo above shows the base at Bid Ganeh as it appeared November 22, 10 days after the explosion.  At least two buildings have completely disappeared, while others appear seriously damaged and probably unusable.  Major piles of debris can still be seen on the base, begging the question as to how much debris there was 10 days earlier.  The photo below shows the same base two months before the explosion for comparison’s sake.  The photos were released by the Washington-based Institute for Science and International Security, which said Iran was “apparently performing a volatile procedure involving a missile engine at the site when the blast occurred.”  The extent of the damage suggests an extraordinary volume of explosive material was involved.
