Ayatollah Ahmad Janati (photo) was re-elected chairman of the Assembly of Experts, the body that chooses a Supreme Leader when that post falls vacant. Janati turned 95 days before his re-election. He is also the head of the Council of Guardians, the 12-cleric body that must approve all legislation passed by the Majlis. Janati wed his third wide when he was 90 years old.
