Lawyers for Bank Mellat in London filed a suit Monday against the British government, seeking $3.98 billion in reparations for business lost by the bank when Britain sanctioned the bank in 2010 for alleged links to Iran’s nuclear program. Britain’s Supreme Court last year said the UK government did not provide sufficient evidence to back up the allegation and ordered the sanctions lifted.
