Police commander Esmail Ahmadi-Moqaddam says Iran is now comparable to the most powerful countries in the world.
The brigadier general made the remarks at the opening ceremony of an exhibition on police activities, performance and equipment.
He said what adds to the might and power of the Iranian nation is its attitudes, resistance, persistence, will and self-reliance—all mobilized in the service of the country’s independence.
He believed all these taken together send a message of self-confidence and will that can challenge the “hegemonic powers” throughout the world.
Commenting that all the big powers are now trying to persuade Iran to cooperate with them, the commander said Iran is self-sufficient in producing everything it needs in the area of police activities.
He said Iran’s nuclear activities are nothing new any longer, concluding that the country’s enemies are unable to dream up any new topic with which to threaten Iran.
