The Foreign Ministry has endorsed China’s policy of imposing a new electoral law on Hong Kong, even though it violates the agreement it made for the return of Hong Kong from Britain a quarter-century ago. “The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is part of China’s territorial sovereignty, so affairs related to it are regarded as China’s internal affairs,” said spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh.
