IAEA pact with Iran hits snag

were very close to signing a document that was being drafted to address all the remaining questions the IAEA has about Iran’s nuclear Program.

On Monday, Amano announced that another meeting would need to be held and the drafted document wasn’t at all ready.

“They have hit a bump,” David Albright, president of the Washington-based Institute for Science and International Security (IAIS), told The New York Times.

Others had a more negative view and said Iran was just stone-walling the IAEA—and the world.

Amano himself telegraphed some impatience.  He said the IAEA wants access to the Parchin military reservation as soon as possible.
