Holocaust just a ‘superstition’

a new “superstition” for the West.

“The Holocaust is nothing but superstition, but Zionists say that people of the world should be forced to accept this,” he was quoted as saying by the state news agency Saturday.

“Americans and Westerners are affected by newly appeared superstitions, such as the Holocaust,” the Iranian Students News Agency quoted him as saying.

“The truth about the Holocaust is not clear, and when the researchers want to examine whether it is true or the Jews have created it to pose as victims, they jail the researchers,” said Makarem-Shirazi.

Most European countries have laws banning denial of the Holocaust as historical fact. The Islamic Republic has twisted that into a ban on academic research into the Holocaust, although there is no such ban anywhere.

The United States has no law on Holocaust denial, but that goes unreported to the Iranian public.

The irony in the eyes of many is that Holocaust denial is fairly common in Europe where deniers can achieve some political martyrdom, but virtually unknown in the United States, where no one pays any attention to Holocaust deniers.
