Here’s how US is the greatest evil

KHAMENEHI. . . lists US faults

Supreme Leader Ali Khamenehi used his sermon last week on Mabas, the holiday marking when God anointed Mohammad as his messenger, to detail the Islamic Republic’s criticism of the United States as the great evil force in the world.

Khamenehi focused on a few popular themes—such as accusing the Americans of “promoting” homosexuality and actively backing terrorism.  He added the new charge that Washington supports eating the hearts of innocent people it has had killed.

“We ask, ‘Why do you promote homosexuality?’ They say, ‘Well, this is a human inclination.’ This is their logic!” Khamenehi exclaimed.

“The same people stop at nothing and continue to pursue lust without observing any red lines.  When it comes to brutality, one can see the same situation here: they kill human beings, kill the innocent, suppress nations that have done nothing wrong.”

Khamenehi cited the era of ignorance that prevailed before Mohammad brought the message of the Qoran.  And he said the world today also faces an era of ignorance.

“The difference between this [modern] ignorance and the ignorance at the advent [of Islam] is that today ignorance is armed and equipped with the weapon of science. Science, which must form the basis of human salvation, has turned into a means of misery for people and misery for human societies. Those people who are bullying the world today are bullying on the strength of the products of their knowledge. The weapons that they have are manufactured by and a product of knowledge… And all of them are put at the service of the same lust and rage. This is the situation of the world today,” Khamenehi said.

“Today, Americans claim that they want to fight against terrorism, while the most dangerous, ruthless terrorist groups have been created by them. Who created Daesh [the Islamic State]? They have confessed that they had the main role and share in the creation of Daesh,” he said, although the United States has never said that.

“Who let other small and large groups—similar to Daesh—wreak havoc on Iraq and Syria and other places? From what place do these bullets and these tools and these dollars that are pouring into the pockets of these criminals and killer human beings come?…

“Is there any doubt that arrogance [the United States] has been playing the main role in creating terrorists and helping them in our region?… Then they say in their slogans that ‘we are against terrorism, we are opposed to Daesh.’  But they lie; they do not tell the truth.”

Khamenehi said, “For their own interests, they instigate regional countries or certain groups within countries and make them fight each other and pursue their own interests.  [They do this to] fill the pockets of their arms manufactures and solve the economic problems of their almost bankrupt economy.  This is their goal; we must be vigilant.”

He asked, “Who is America to come here, talk about problems of the Persian Gulf and recruit allies? They do not seek security, they seek their own interests and, if considered necessary, make a place insecure and support the agents of insecurity.”

Khamenehi said President Obama “tells us that Iran is supporting terrorism! You [Obama] are supporting terrorism.  America is supporting the terrorist Zionist government. America created Daesh.  You supported terrorists who kill people in Syria, burn people alive, cut open the chest of a dead person, bring out his heart and eat it….

Khamenehi then addressed the growing Sunni-Shia friction, and laid that at the feet of the Americans as well.

“The regional countries should be careful.  The policy of the enemies … is to create a phony enemy, to pit Iran against the Arabs, [to pit] one ethnic group against another ethnic group, [to pit] Shia against Sunni.”

Khamenehi summarized, “The modern ignorance of today is a violent, ruthless, brutal ignorance and is equipped with all kinds of tools. It must be confronted intelligently and the Iranian people have done this and will continue to do so.”
