Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh (photo) has resigned from the cabinet to protest cuts proposed in the budget President Rohani submitted recently for the coming year. He did not specify what were the cuts he objected to, but six years ago the Health Ministry was denied the foreign exchange it needed to import drugs. The government then blamed the United States for the ensuing drug shortage—which the regime is doing once again.
