The William Hill betting house in Britain reports that it did land office business during the World Cup, with the largest single bet being placed from Nevada—$350,000 on Argentina to beat Iran. He won. But given the odds, he probably didn’t make much. What’s more, he must have been sweating bullets when the teams were tied going into injury overtime!
