A gay Iranian couple stepped off a plane in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to a new life as they were given refugee status by Canada. The Rainbow Refugee Association of Nova Scotia is sponsoring Hadi and Navid, who asked that their last names not be published, and has provided them with a furnished apartment, household goods, clothing and food to get them started on their new lives in Canada.
