Gasfield workers work round-clock in cold spell

Natural gas is the main heating fuel in Iran’s cities.

Shana news, the Oil Ministry’s news service, said gas output had reached 311 million cubic meters a day with staff working around the clock.

Temperatures in much of the country have been quite cold.  In Tehran, overnight lows last week were 10 degrees Fahrenheit below normal, averaging in the mid-20s instead of the mid-30s, the norm for this time of year.
