But the British are gone; the Qolhak Garden is no longer occupied. Iranian politicians have argued for a half dozen years that the British occupation of the site was illegal. With the British gone, why is there a need to pursue the ownership issue through a legal committee unless the people claiming Iranian ownership feel their claims are weak?
