The hardliners in Tehran who want to block out Facebook have a friend in an unusual place—the White House family quarters. First Lady Michelle Obama (photo) told ABC News this week that her children aren’t allowed free access to Facebook. Malia, 15, has limited access and Sasha, 12, is barred because of her age, the First Lady said. “I still am not a big believer in Facebook for young people—particularly for them [Malia and Sasha] because they are in the public eye,” she said. “Some of it’s stuff they don’t need to see and be a part ofÖ. So, we try to protect them from too much of the public voice.” One concern of Michelle’s is protecting the children from the vast volume of material denouncing their father.
