The Egyptian-American Copt who produced a film attacking Islam was freed from detention last week in California. Mark Basseley Youssef was jailed for making the film. But when the uproar over the film erupted, federal officials saw that he had massively violated the conditions of his parole for an earlier conviction. He was barred from using the Internet without permission from his probation officer, but had used it repeatedly. He was also barred from using any aliases, but had 17 false names in the production of the film.
