The Supreme Leader has just flipped two senior Army officers. Ataollah Salehi, who has long commanded the Army, has been named a deputy chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed forces. Abdol-Rahim Musavi, who has been the deputy chief of staff, was named to replace Salehi as commander of the Army. Musavi gets promoted from one star to two stars. Salehi gets to keep his two stars.
