The main campus of the University of Hawai’i (that’s the way they spell it) is now offering an introductory course in the Persian language and an introductory course in Persian art, literature and cultural history. Those who might be interested should also know that the university’s Manoa campus is just a hop, skip and jump from Waikiki beach. The courses were made possible through a grant from the Roshan Cultural Heritage Institute. Swimsuits not included.
