Fanny-grabbers suspended by soccer

and fined $30,000 each, the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported Sunday,

Mohammad Nosrati, 30, has long been on the national team and is known for scoring the deciding goal in the preliminary rounds that put Iran into the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany.  He was suspended for 10 months by the Iranian Football Federation.

The report did not make clear if the suspension applied only to his league play in Iran or would also bar him from the national team.

The 20-month suspension was handed down to Sheys Rezai.

Both men play professionally for Persepolis of Tehran.

It was not explained why Rezai got twice the fine handed down to Nosrati.

Video showed Nosrati grabbing Rezai’s rear end after one goal and Rezai grabbing another player’s rear after another goal.

Nosrati has said the contact was purely accidental.

Both men have also been punished by Persepolis, their club team, by having their salaries cut 15 percent.
