The Fars news agency reported Saturday that a “security officer” told it gunfire was exchanged last week in the Qatari royal palace in a feud between the new emir and his father. Fars said the former emir has now been imprisoned. A computer search by the Iran Times has not turned up any other new agency reporting such an account.
