An Iranian art and cultural exhibition has been mounted in the Turkish city of Erzurum, a major city in the eastern part of the country adjacent to Iran.
Persian carpets, handicrafts and photos of Iran’s tourist attractions were showcased in 30 sections at the exhibition.
The five-day event displayed 20 major forms of Iranian handicrafts such as leather production, metal work and calligraphic arts.
Reyhan, a traditional Iranian music ensemble, was dispatched from Ardebil to perform at the event.
The exhibit was organized by Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization (ICHTHO).
Iran earlier promoted Persian cinema in Erzurum. In the city’s 2012 film week, Iran screened about 12 films with Turkish subtitles.
Iran has held several film weeks in such Turkish cities as Izmir, Istanbul and Bursa.
