Rep. Duncan Hunter (photo), Republican of California, opined last week that Middle Eastern culture fosters dishonest negotiators. He said if the talks with Iran go nowhere and the United States goes the military route, no US ground troops should be sent into Iran, but the US government should drop tactical nuclear weapons on the country! Hunter is a member of the House Armed Services Committee. He entered Congress succeeding his father, who had chaired that committee.
