This is a point Peres has been making for a decade and most thinking Israelis probably subscribe to it. The concern is that Europeans and Americans may just sit back and wait for Israel to bomb Iran. Then they can carp at Israel for being too aggressive while enjoying the benefits of what Israel did. Israel resents that. Peres said last week: “Israel has the answer to the Iranian problem. But it is the responsibility of the whole world to solve that problem. This cannot be transformed into an Israeli monopoly.”
