A poll taken last November by the Ministry of Culture and reported September 8 by the daily Ham-Mihan found that 92 percent of Iranians felt the country was headed in the wrong direction, with one-third saying “the country is beyond repair.” The poll found the most pressing issue by far was inflation (82%), followed at a distance by unemployment (48%), addiction (27%), corruption (13%), the housing shortage (12%) and hejab (12%).
