We carried a news report recently in which Reuters said it had been told Iran had reached an agreement with an unnamed UAE aircraft leasing firm to finance Iran’s purchase of Airbus jets. But now government spokesman Mohammad-Baqer Nobakht says that is not true. He said Iran is in talks with several firms about financing arrangements but has not sealed any deal yet.
