Olympic gold medalist Ali-Reza Dabir (photo), 41, has been elected the new president of the Iran Wrestling Federation for four years. He succeeds Rasul Khadem, who resigned in anger nine months ago. Dabir has been politically active and served two terms on the Tehran City Council from 2007 to 2017 as a member of the conservative party led by Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.
